Georgetown is 0-10 against Dillon since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Georgetown Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Dillon Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Georgetown has struggled recently with 13 losses in a row, while Dillon will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Monday, Georgetown took a serious blow against Aynor, falling 58-25. Georgetown was down 42-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Even though Dillon has not done well against Waccamaw recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Dillon walked away with a 41-32 victory over Waccamaw.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dillon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Treasure Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Dillon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Campbell, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Georgetown dropped their record down to 2-21 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dillon, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
