Newton South was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Acton-Boxborough apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Shannon Patrick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Acton-Boxborough, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. The game was Patrick's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Baytarian, who scored 11 points.
Newton South's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Acton-Boxborough, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
