Amara Wright made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Wright was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Cailyn Meyers was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emmi Hollstein, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Gorham Fayette's offense. They came up short against Holgate on Friday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 29 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Gorham Fayette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Gorham Fayette dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
