The Seeger Patriots's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Benton Central Bison at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Rossville scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Seeger still came out on top. Seeger narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rossville 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Seeger has posted yet this season.
Christian Holland was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. cameron laws was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Benton Central had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 65-52 win over McCutcheon on Thursday.
Seeger's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Benton Central, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Seeger came up short against Benton Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 60-56. Can Seeger avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
