There's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fairmont Cardinals 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Marshall's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fairmont, they moved to 17-2 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.
