Skyview has gone a perfect 10-0 against Caldwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will head out to take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Skyview has nine straight victories, Caldwell has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Skyview's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Emmett with a sharp 12-0 win. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.
Anthony Barker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jesse Krahn, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Vavold, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Caldwell duked it out with Columbia on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0.
Skyview's record now sits at 13-3. As for Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
Caldwell's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Skyview has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Caldwell, though, as they've been averaging 13.2 hits. Given Skyview's sizable advantage in that area, the Cougars will need to find a way to close that gap.
Skyview got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Caldwell by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
