Coconut Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Theophile, who scored 20 points. Theophile scored a full 50% of Coconut Creek's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tessan Parchment, who scored 11 points.
Leading Benjamin to victory were Cj Smith and Nandini Patel. Smith scored 11 points, while Patel scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Ja?nyia Donaldson was another key contributor, scoring 4 points.
Coconut Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Benjamin, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coconut Creek will head out on the road to face off against Everglades at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benjamin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Saint Andrew's at 5:30 p.m.
