The Red Cloud Crusaders lost against the Lakota Tech Tatanka back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Red Cloud fell to Lakota Tech 52-47. Red Cloud has not had much luck with Lakota Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Red Cloud saw an underclassman step up: Braylon Little scored 17 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Little has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Zuniga, who scored ten points.
Even though they lost, Red Cloud were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakota Tech only posted an assist.
Lakota Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gilbert White Jr., who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Cass, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Red Cloud's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Lakota Tech, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Red Cloud and Lower Brule will face off at 12:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
