The Centennial Coyotes will be playing at home against the Deer Valley Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Centennial struggled with assists on Friday (Notre Dame Prep had 1100% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Centennial took a serious blow against Notre Dame Prep, falling 65-11. Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Kaleia Young and
Madison Jacks, who each put up three points.
Meanwhile, Deer Valley's 18-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Hamilton 66-37 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Deer Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Hamilton is ranked eighth).
Their wins bumped Centennial to 3-5 and Notre Dame Prep to 7-2.
