The Bellbrook Golden Eagles pushed their score all the way to 61 on Sunday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Lima Senior 67-61. While losing is never fun, Bellbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Lima Senior is ranked 203rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lima Senior to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shawn Foster, who scored 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Isaiah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Bellbrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lima Senior, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Bellbrook will be home for the holidays to greet Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lima Senior will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Findlay at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th.
