After taking the lead on a
Team BHP touchdown run in the first quarter,
Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, S.C.) led 42-0 at the half.
The Bears expanded their lead to 77 points entering the fourth quarter. Belton-Honea Path scored five times in the third, including once on a BHP touchdown run.
Anthony White and
Dee Clinkscales ran for a bunch of touchdowns for Palmetto (Williamston, S.C.). White scored three touchdowns on the ground and Clinkscales added two as well.
BHP played well for BHP in the victory. He kicked 10 extra points.
The Honea Path school also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-14.
The loss was the third in a row for the Mustangs. The win brought Belton-Honea Path's winning streak to four games.
Palmetto (1-3) will play a AAA Region I game against Daniel next week, while Belton-Honea Path (4-0) will take on Walhalla also in a AAA Region I game.
