There's no place like home for the Miller Buccaneers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 win over Victoria West on Tuesday. Miller pushed the score to 36-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.
Leading Miller to victory were Corey Holmes and Damare Lister. Holmes scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Lister scored 16 points along with two steals. Lister hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Zamora, who scored five points along with three steals.
Miller pushed their record up to 15-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Victoria West, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.
Coincidentally, Miller and the Warriors will both be playing the Texans the next time they take the court. Victoria West will head out to face Ray at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Miller will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
