Firth and Declo are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Firth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Firth came out on top against North Fremont on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fourth inning. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Huskies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Firth let Darrell Vasquez and Michael Adams run wild. Vasquez went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Adams got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Adams has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdon Bott, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Firth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Fremont only managed four hits.

Declo might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-1 to Wendell, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Firth's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Declo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Firth was able to grind out a solid win over Declo in their previous meeting last Friday, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
