 Kanab was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only posted a  batting average of  .211.
Kanab's  win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Milford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kanab beat Milford by a score of  8-5 later that day.
