Even though the Ursuline Academy Bears have not done well against the John Paul II Cardinals recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ursuline Academy snuck past the Cardinals with a 61-55 win. The win was familiar territory for Ursuline Academy who now have four in a row.
Ursuline Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyne Davis, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Ursuline Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-16.

Trinity Christian has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for John Paul II, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Prestonwood Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cardinals in Texas (the Lions are ranked 101st, while the Cardinals are ranked 307th).
