The Duluth Wildcats were the 40-33 winner over the Discovery Titans when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Duluth took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Discovery on Friday.
Duluth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saniya Johnson, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Krysta Robinson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds.
Duluth's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Discovery, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-12.
Duluth's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lambert at 10:00 a.m. on January 15th. Lambert knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Duluth likes a good challenge. Discovery will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Peachtree Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
