Even though the Fillmore Eagles scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, the Byron-Bergen Bees still came out on top. Byron-Bergen took down Fillmore 80-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Byron-Bergen.
Braedyn Chambry was a one-man wrecking crew for Byron-Bergen as he dropped a double-double on 41 points and 18 rebounds. Brody Baubie was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with 8 rebounds.
Byron-Bergen's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fillmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byron-Bergen will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Fillmore, they will head out on the road to face off against Houghton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
