Franklin Community won the last time they faced Martinsville and things went their way  on Friday too. The Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs managed  a  46-40 victory over the Martinsville Artesians.
 Jayce Nielson had a dynamite game for Franklin Community,  going 7 of 13  on his way to 19  points along with six  boards and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kolt Nelson, who  posted six points in addition to 14  rebounds and three  steals.
 Franklin Community  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Martinsville only pulled down four  offensive boards.
 Martinsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Zhane Capshaw, who  went 5 for 7  en route to 10  points and six  boards.  Grady Gardner was another key player,  putting up 13 points.
Franklin Community's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-9. As for Martinsville, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season.
 Franklin Community has already played their next contest,  a  54-47  defeat against Southport on the 1st. As for Martinsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Speedway  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Martinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9  points per game  this season.
