Kenston Forest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Amelia Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Kenston Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against Amelia Academy at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kenston Forest has eight straight wins, Amelia Academy has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Kenston Forest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Christchurch School, who was ranked 14th at the time (Kenston Forest was ranked sixth). Kenston Forest put the hurt on Christchurch School with a sharp 22-4 victory on Saturday. The Kavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Aubrey Mayton (2026) made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Mayton (2026) was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Thomas and Hayden Hudson (2029) did most of the damage at the plate: Thomas got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Hudson (2029) went 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Hudson (2029) is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Palyn Marker (2027), who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Kenston Forest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Amelia Academy came up short against Temple Christian on Monday, falling 21-4.
Amelia Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Lane, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Kenston Forest's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Amelia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
