Given Timber Creek Regional's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Robbinsville is ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Victor Oquendo had a dynamite game for Timber Creek Regional, throwing for 444 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Upton, who picked up 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Cedar Creek never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Wall Township last Friday. They walked away with a 33-20 win over the Crimson Knights.
Billy Smith was a one-man wrecking crew for Cedar Creek as he threw for 338 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Darius Benjamin, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Timber Creek Regional's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. As for Cedar Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
