The Aiken Falcons had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 67-44 margin over Withrow. Given Aiken's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Withrow is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aiken to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Glass, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Arnold, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Aiken pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Withrow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Aiken will look to defend their home court on Saturday against East Central at 4:30 p.m. Withrow will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
