On Tuesday, Nease was the victim of a tough 47-27 loss at the hands of Valdosta. Nease was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
Despite the defeat, Nease saw an underclassman step up: Sage Pytel scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shruthika Kondabrolu, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Nease's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valdosta, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Nease will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Paxon School For Advanced Studies focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. Valdosta is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Brooks County at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th.
