Schuylkill Haven is 8-2 against Nativity BVM since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hurricanes will take on the Green Wave at 4:00 p.m. Schuylkill Haven is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Schuylkill Haven barely beat Oley Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Lynx with a sharp 8-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Hurricanes have won five games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Allison Scherer made a splash while hitting and pitching. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joie Schoffstall, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aisley Jenan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Schuylkill Haven kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Nativity BVM's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Schuylkill Haven has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Nativity BVM, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Schuylkill Haven's sizable advantage in that area, the Green Wave will need to find a way to close that gap.
Schuylkill Haven got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Nativity BVM by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
