5A Region IV District 27 recap November 5, 2013
Aedric Robinson of Warren ran for the longest rushing play in 5A Region IV District 27 this season against Taft last week.
Brandeis extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Marshall, 50-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Broncos.
Zach Galindo threw for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 18-22 with 1 interception.
Jordan Sneed provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Warriors bested the Raiders. He completed 18 passes for 227 yards and also ran for 78 yards. Sneed's key target this week was Mark January, who caught 8 passes for 83 yards.
Galindo put up the best numbers through the air as O'Connor topped Stevens. Galindo's favorite target this week was Billy Craft, who caught 5 passes for 92 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Galindo and Nate Phillips have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Galindo has thrown for 2,170 yards this season, while Phillips has 45 catches for 717 yards. Warren's Aedric Robinson leads the league in rushing yards with 789.
A big matchup in 5A Region IV District 27 this week will be when Warren takes on Clark. The Warriors are currently in second, while the Cougars are in fourth.
Bryan Dausin's team took down Taft 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sneed ran for 78 yards in the win.
