Lucas is 0-2 against Arlington since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lucas Cubs will be playing at home against the Arlington Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lucas fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 34-7 victory over Fort Loramie.
Lucas haved a senior duo take command as Logan Toms rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries and Graysen Jackson rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Toms' longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Meanwhile, everything went Arlington's way against Van Buren on Friday as Arlington made off with a 28-6 win.
Lucas' victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.4 points per game. Arlington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Lucas came up short against Arlington in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 29-21. Will Lucas have more luck at home instead of on the road?
