Ridge was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating North Hunterdon. The Red Devils came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Ridge extended the longest winning streak in Mid-State 38 - Watchung this week by beating the Lions, 34-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Red Devils.
Conor Hughes put up the best numbers through the air as Ridge topped North Hunterdon. He finished with a total of seven completions for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Hughes' favorite target this week was Nick Franzese, who caught four passes for 59 yards.
Ryan Boyle was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 204 yards as Montgomery fell to the Red Devils. Ananth Chenimineni also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.
Dehkes was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lions lost to Ridge. Dehkes tallied four receptions for 61 yards. Drew Dickison helped North Hunterdon's passing attack out by catching three balls for 17 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Hughes of the Red Devils is the league leader in passing yards this season with 694. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Watchung Hills Regional's ANTHONY PRUS has rushed for 834 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Sam Oltmans. The Montgomery star has 25 catches for 361 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Hunterdon takes on Immaculata. The Lions are currently in fourth, while the Spartans are in third.
Ridge took down North Hunterdon 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hughes ran for 90 yards in the win.
