The Saint Andrew's Scots won the last time they faced the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's, and things went their way on Friday too. Saint Andrew's took down Fort Lauderdale 58-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Saint Andrew's.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Andrew's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Sampaio, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds. The contest was Sampaio's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Montes, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Saint Andrew's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fort Lauderdale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Andrew's will face off against Boynton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Boynton Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Saint Andrew's is ranked 114th). Fort Lauderdale will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Coral Glades at 7:30 p.m. on December 4th.
