Teddy Kraus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Caleb Aponick was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Colin Donovan was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Holy Redeemer won against Hanover Area on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Royals' pitchers stepped up to hand Holy Cross an 8-0 shutout. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Cody Quaglia, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hurst, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Holy Redeemer pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Wyoming Seminary College Prep couldn't quite finish off Holy Redeemer when the teams last played back in April and fell 4-2. Will the Blue Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
