Kennedy is 7-0 against the Eagles since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kennedy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Wolcott Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Kennedy and seven for the Eagles.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 89-54, which was the final score in Kennedy's tilt against the Cougars on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Cougars are ranked third).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-44, which was the final score in Wolcott's tilt against the Raiders on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wolcott in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Wolcott, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
Kennedy beat the Eagles 66-56 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennedy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
