Weeki Wachee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Atwater, who scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Atwater has scored at least 25% of Weeki Wachee's points. Marlee Schumacher was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Nature Coast Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaida Grier. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Weeki Wachee back to even at 1-1. As for Nature Coast Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
