Southeast is 9-1 against the Red Devils since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Southeast Pirates will look to defend their home court against the Crestwood Red Devils at 11:15 a.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Wednesday, Southeast had to suffer through a rough 57-17 loss at the hands of the Rovers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Crestwood's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 35-27 to Wickliffe.
Despite the defeat, Crestwood saw an underclassman step up: Grace Harper almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Dustman, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Southeast has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Crestwood, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Southeast came up short against the Red Devils in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 35-27. Will Southeast have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
