They took a serious blow against the Bulldogs, falling 57-0. Houston Math Science & Tech's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Lamont Robins was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 136 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Nick Brown was another key contributor, gaining 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Houston Math Science & Tech's defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for Heights, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Houston Math Science & Tech will head out on the road to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heights, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chavez at 7:30 p.m. Chavez is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
