After losing to Murrieta Valley the last time they met, Vista Murrieta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vista Murrieta Broncos put the hurt on the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks with a sharp 80-54 victory on Friday. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Murrieta Valley had strong showings from Parker Steffen, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and five assists, and Jaizahn Lewis, who posted 18 points. Lewis is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Vista Murrieta pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Murrieta Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

Vista Murrieta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-56 victory against Murrieta Mesa on the 4th. As for Murrieta Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-63 win against Chaparral on the 4th.
