Bingham is a perfect 10-0 against Mountain Ridge since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Miners will look to defend their home field against the Sentinels at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bingham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Westlake, who was ranked 11th at the time (Bingham was ranked 22nd). The Miners walked away with a 10-5 win over the Thunder on Tuesday.
Lily Gritton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Tatum Ewing and Haylee Snyder did most of the damage at the plate: Ewing went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Snyder went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Snyder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Poleki, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain Ridge). They blew past Logan 14-5 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Sentinels as they're now sitting on three straight.
Hannah Dansie was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Sydney Lambert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Mountain Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in six consecutive games.
Bingham now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Mountain Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Everything went Bingham's way against Mountain Ridge when the teams last played back in March, as Bingham made off with a 17-10 victory. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sentinels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
