Garfield was the 46-41 winner over Arleta when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Garfield Bulldogs took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arleta Mustangs on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Arleta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Garfield will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Huntington Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Arleta also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Venice at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. One thing working in Arleta's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
