The University Prep Panthers pushed their score all the way to 63 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-63 to Placer. University Prep has not had much luck with Placer recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
University Prep's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Devin Huegel, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peter Rundle, who scored 19 points along with 6 assists.
University Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Placer, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
University Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Foothill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Thursday. As for Placer, they will be playing at home against Fortuna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
