With a playoff win on the line, Western Boone rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Delphi Community Oracles  43-41. This was a revenge game for the Stars: when they faced off against the Oracles  back in February, they had to take a  75-74  defeat.

 Western Boone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Marcus Fortner, who  shot 46% from the field to rack up 15 points. Western Boone is 2-1 when  Fortner posts 15 or  more  points, but 7-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Gavin Hawkins, who  posted six points along with five  assists and five  steals.
 Several Oracles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Xaine Tessier, who  put up seven  points and seven  boards. That's the most  rebounds  Tessier has posted since back in January.  Josh Hartley was another key player,  going 6-for-10  en route to 12 points.
The  victory made it two in a row for Western Boone and  bumps their season record up to 9-14. As for Delphi Community, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
 Western Boone didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  70-35  win against Rensselaer Central on the 7th. Delphi Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
