It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Kermit Yellow Jackets ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Stanton by a score of 56-48. Winning may never get old, but Kermit sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kermit can attribute much of their success to Jaden Bejarano, who scored 18 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Bejarano hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Diego Juarez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Kermit's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Stanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
Kermit will head out on the road to take on Tornillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stanton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alpine at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Alpine is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
