The Powhatan Indians will take on the Manchester Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Powhatan 3.4, Manchester 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Powhatan barely beat Richmond High School for the Arts the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Marissa Anderson and Brooklyn Narbut made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Anderson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Narbut struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. At the plate, Anderson went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Narbut went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave Narbut a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Moser, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Myers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Powhatan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .971. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Manchester earned a 3-0 victory over L.C. Bird on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Powhatan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
