The Tri-Central Trojans pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-60 to Carroll. Tri-Central has not had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Tri-Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drake Ramseyer, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Ramseyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Trenton Patz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Tri-Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Tri-Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Taylor will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Carroll will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton Central has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
