Ethan Sherban was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Emmanuel Christian is undefeated when Sherban posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Luke Carmody was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Emmanuel Christian's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Brandon Woodward was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Emmanuel Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Emmanuel Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Toledo Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
