There's no place like home for the Roseville Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Thornton Fractional North by a score of 60-50 on Saturday.
Jaylen Blakes and Naiem Evans certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Blakes scored 24 points, while Evans scored 16 points. Evans is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Leon Cooks, who scored three points along with six rebounds.
Roseville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Thornton Fractional North, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
Roseville will be playing in front of their home fans against Grosse Pointe South at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Grosse Pointe South has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 604 points over their last nine matches. As for Thornton Fractional North, they will head out on the road to take on Thornton Fractional South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Thornton Fractional South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
