Concordia has gone 8-2 against Lone Jack recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Fighting Orioles will take on the Mules in a tournament on Tuesday. Concordia will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Concordia had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-run drubbing they dealt Orrick on Monday. The Fighting Orioles blew past the Bearcats 22-1. The Fighting Orioles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Karleigh Wilckens was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Wilckens was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Mueller was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Roepe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Concordia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lone Jack entered their tilt with Concordia on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Fighting Orioles by a score of 7-4. The game was the first time the Mules have beaten the Fighting Orioles on their field since March 20, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Reese Evenson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Lone Jack's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Concordia, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Lone Jack's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Concordia has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Lone Jack, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Concordia keep running through batters, or will the Mules buck the trend?
Concordia couldn't quite get it done against Lone Jack when the teams last played on Friday as they fell 7-4. Can the Fighting Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
