Ingomar is a perfect 5-0 against Tremont since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Tremont took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ingomar, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Ingomar made easy work of Strayhorn and carried off a 12-1 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Lily Reese Mask made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Mask was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abby Miller, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinzlee Harkness, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Ingomar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tremont fell victim to Smithville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Seminoles, falling 20-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Ingomar now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Tremont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Everything went Ingomar's way against Tremont when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Ingomar made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
