Basketball Recap: Venture Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Venture Academy won the last time they faced Linden and things went their way on Friday too. The Venture Academy Mustangs took down the Linden Lions 69-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Venture Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Fakhouri, who shot 6-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. The match was Fakhouri's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeston Barnett, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points and three blocks.

Venture Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Linden, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Venture Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-60 victory against Christian Brothers on the 14th. As for Linden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-42 win against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy on the 14th.
