The Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators will be home for the holidays to greet the Red Lake Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's 27-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County].
Meanwhile, Red Lake scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over Fond du Lac Ojibwe O. The win was just what Red Lake needed coming off of a 98-26 loss in their prior match.
Raquel Stillday was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Audri Lussier, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3. As for Red Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Everything came up roses for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River against Red Lake in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 71-27 victory.
