Wake Forest extended their winning streak to eight on Monday, bumping them up to 9-3. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vance Charter Knights 64-30. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Wake Forest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Palmer Chase out in front who shot 43% from the field on his way to 12 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Chase is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Hunt, who went 5-for-8 en route to 17 points.

Wake Forest was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

As for Vance Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. They were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 55 points in the seven games prior), but Wake Forest's defense proved too tough.

Vance Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Langston Turrentine and Gary Wilkins. Turrentine posted 13 points, while Wilkins scored 11 points.

Wake Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-42 loss against Bunn on the 30th. As for Vance Charter, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-50 win against Corinth Holders on the 30th.
