Conwell-Egan Catholic hasn't had much luck against Father Judge recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will square off against the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Conwell-Egan Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Father Judge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Conwell-Egan Catholic will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating La Salle College, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Explorers by a score of 3-0 on Monday.

Conwell-Egan Catholic got a great performance from Chase Forester as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. The Eagles are undefeated when Forester allows one or fewer hits, but 2-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Conwell-Egan Catholic's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Landau, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Landau has posted since back in June of 2024. Joey Ortiz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Father Judge not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 12-2). They blew past Lansdale Catholic 11-5. Father Judge hasn't had any issues with Lansdale Catholic recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Kevin Krause was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Will Henderson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Father Judge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Father Judge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Conwell-Egan Catholic couldn't quite finish off Father Judge when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
