Glenn and Parkland are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Glenn Bobcats will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Parkland Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Glenn suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 60-39 loss at the hands of Davie. Glenn has struggled against Davie recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Parkland pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-57 to Mount Tabor. While losing is never fun, Parkland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Mount Tabor is ranked 73rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justace Williams, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Azari Wilkins, who scored 15 points.
Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Parkland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-11.
Glenn was taken down by Parkland 68-37 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Glenn, Christiana Young (who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and six assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
