They came out on top against Sunrise Christian Academy Silver by a score of 60-53 on Saturday. For Reno County HomeSchool, this counts as revenge for the 60-26 defeat Sunrise Christian Academy Silver walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver's loss came despite strong showings from Iyzrel Graham and Xzavier Miller. Graham scored 20 points, while Miller scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Graham scored 15 or more points.
Reno County HomeSchool pushed their record up to 11-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Sunrise Christian Academy Silver, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Reno County HomeSchool will look to defend their home court on Friday against Liberty HomeSchool Alliance. Liberty HomeSchool Alliance knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Reno County HomeSchool likes a good challenge. As for Sunrise Christian Academy Silver, Sunrise Christian Academy Silver and Oklahoma City S will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oklahoma City S will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 235th in Oklahoma, while Sunrise Christian Academy Silver is ranked 64th in Kansas).
